9 Sessions for Term 2
Available spots
Service Description
Friday afternoons, for young creatives who want a space to slow down, experiment and make something that’s their own. This weekly studio session is designed for teens aged 12+ to explore drawing, painting, mixed media, and other creative techniques while encouraging individuality and creative confidence. There’s no pressure to be “perfect” here, just a supportive space to try ideas, learn new skills, and enjoy the process of creating. Whether they already love art or are just beginning to explore it, this session gives teens the freedom to express themselves and build their creative voice. Wear: Something you don't mind getting messy in (aprons and smocks are available, too) Bring: Drink bottle (small snacks are also welcome)

The Young Artist Studio at Ataris Art is a safe, welcoming and supportive environment where young people can explore creativity, build confidence and express themselves freely. To ensure every child has a positive experience, the following policies apply to all sessions. 1. Safety & Supervision Children are supervised by Ataris Art staff during their booked session time. Parents/guardians must drop off and collect their child on time, and only authorised adults listed on the intake form may complete pick-up. Supervision cannot be guaranteed outside scheduled session times. Parents are welcome to stay for the duration of the session if they or their child feels more comfortable doing so. Independent participation is also welcome. For very young children, a parent may be asked to stay to support comfort and regulation. 2. Materials & Clothing All art supplies provided are age-appropriate and safe when used as directed. Sessions may involve paint and other messy materials. Smocks are supplied, but accidental marks on clothing or belongings may occur. Ataris Art is not responsible for damage to personal items. 3. Medical & Allergy Information Parents/guardians must provide accurate, up-to-date information regarding allergies, medical conditions, sensory needs and learning needs. Medication required during sessions must be supplied. If permission is granted on the intake form, basic first aid or emergency services will be used if needed. 4. Behaviour & Emotional Support The studio is a pressure-free creative environment where curiosity, learning and “happy mistakes” are encouraged. We support a variety of emotional and sensory needs. If behaviour compromises safety (e.g., aggression, throwing tools, repeated disruption), gentle redirection will be used first; if safety cannot be maintained, the parent/guardian may be called to collect the child. 6. Media & Privacy Photos/videos are only taken if consent has been given on the intake form. Consent can be changed or withdrawn at any time in writing. 7. Cancellations & Rescheduling Cancellations may be transferred to another date. If Ataris Art cancels a session, a reschedule or credit will be offered. 8. Communication We value open communication and are committed to supporting each young artist’s comfort and well-being. If anything changes — allergies, support needs, contact details — please notify the studio before the next session. Attendance at the Young Artist Studio confirms acceptance of this policy
